Should You Opt Out Of My Health Record?

This year, you will get a My Health Record unless you opt out. It means every medical record you have with your local GP, hospital or health practitioner will be stored online.

I’m sorry, but with cyber hacking at an all time high, I can understand the general publics concerns with their personal details being kept online.

I can also understand the risks of your health records slipping into the wrong hands.

If you don’t want a My Health Record, complete the online process by 15 October 2018.

You will need your Medicare card and driver licence (or other identification) to complete the opt-out process.
